The South African Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) recently completed an extensive evaluation of border management systems in Zambia, Congo, and Southern Africa, revealing key challenges in cross-border transportation. The focus of this assessment was to identify bottlenecks that hinder the smooth flow of goods and explore ways to streamline border clearance processes. The goal is to enhance trade efficiency and economic growth within the Southern African Development Community (SADC). (Source: Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC))
By connecting and harmonizing the regulatory systems at border points, we can eliminate delays and congestion, significantly boosting logistics efficiency and streamlining the flow of goods across regions.
Jointech, a recognized leader in mobile asset management, is proud to be a key player in this transformative shift. With years of experience and technological expertise, Jointech has built trusted partnerships with customs authorities in more than ten African nations, helping improve border security and operational workflows. Our innovative solutions, such as smart terminals, real-time monitoring systems, and sophisticated data platforms, power our Electronic Cargo Tracking System (ECTS), which addresses critical logistical challenges like cargo visibility, real-time tracking, and faster customs clearance.
As one CBRTA representative expressed, “A better system benefits everyone, not just one country.” At Jointech, we strongly believe in this vision. Through the integration of cutting-edge technologies like AI-powered scenario recognition, big data analytics, and intelligent terminals, we offer solutions that enable smoother, more transparent border processes. These innovations not only improve the security of cross-border shipments but also reduce delays, making the entire trade process more efficient.
The future of regional trade in Africa is bright, and Jointech is excited to continue its role in enhancing cross-border cooperation. As the integration of logistics networks strengthens, we look forward to further expanding our partnerships across Africa, ensuring that trade becomes more accessible, secure, and efficient.
By working together, we can continue to improve the regional logistics landscape, fostering sustainable economic growth and stronger trade connections across the continent.
